Student Council
Fifth grade learners get the opportunity to demonstrate leadership skills by participating in the Student Council. The Student Council is tasked with serving Ellis, helping all students and teachers, and working to make Ellis kind, safe, responsible, and respectful. Each trimester, fifth grade teachers will hold elections for Student Council Representatives.
Camp Falcon
At Ellis, we believe in celebrating positive behavior. Learners who consistently demonstrate it will enjoy monthly Camp Falcon events. During these events, learners will pick an activity of their choosing to take part in.

After School Play Club
On Mondays, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., learners may participate in the After-School Play Club. Children can learn important skills and life lessons when adults don't get involved every step of the way. This club provides learners with a safe yet unstructured environment in which to play and grow. Learners will need to have a ride home, as this is an after-school activity.
Little Free Library
In May 2025, the Rotary Club of Pocatello came to Ellis to dedicate a Little Free Library located on the front playground. This was a project that took several months. In the fall of 2024, the 2nd grade teachers reached out to the Rotary Club about having a Little Library placed on our school grounds. Our request was proposed to the Rotary board members and our school was selected as one of 8 locations that would receive a new Little Free Library in Pocatello and Chubbuck. The Rotary Club received the materials, constructed the library and delivered it to Ellis in February. Later in March, Home Depot generously donated paint and materials for the library. Finally, it was decided to decorate the box with The Hungry Caterpillar theme and that each learner at Ellis would put their thumbprint on the caterpillar. We loved how it turned out! It was a great experience to work on this project with the Rotary Club of Pocatello and Home Depot. They have added something special to Ellis.
Please stop by the Little Free Library and borrow a book. You may return it or keep it if you would like. Please consider donating books back into the library.
